Hooke's law enquiry - PLANNING: - Aim: To find out how the length of a spring is affected by load exerted on it. - Hypothesis: That the length of a spring is directly proportional to load. NB: Hypothesis is to be proved false as extension is proportional to load rather than length. Students learn that directly proportional is shown on a graph as linear line through origin.
