There are environmental, social and economic arguments, both for and against quarrying:

Social	materials are produced for the construction of homes and buildings. Local communities may benefit from facilities paid for by the quarrying company	pollution caused by blasting and increased traffic
Environmental	Once with, quarries can be landscaped into wildlife parks (at extra )	Large areas of destroyed by the quarry, leading to reduction in wildlife
Economic	created for local people a saleable product produced for business	May damage to an area

The truth is that if we wish to continue using the building materials produced from limestone, then we will need to continue quarrying it.
